I'm a dual fuel customer on prepayment meter and think they are the cheapest supplier going for prepayment. As the only supplier to charge the same rate regardless of how you pay, they are fantastic.
Had a problem with the gas meter recently resulting in no gas and they had someone out in 4 hours and sent me a new card in case that caused the problem |

Re: Ebico
I know they don't do online billing or meter readings but do they do direct debit or is it only prepay?

They do direct debit though I couldn't say how cheap they are as the DD rates are the exact same as the pre payment rates

EDF suggest will increase 40% along with e.on but it appears like these guys are likely to hold price hikes as long as possible

Think I had to ring up to sign up but that may have been because I'm on prepayment

I have just changed to EBico - and it looks like they could save me £200 a year!

Hello everybody,
I am currently a very dissatisfied prospective customer with EBICO. I applied to change supply with them over 6 weeks ago and have not heard from them even once about the status of my application. They've sent me an email to confirm my application but that was it. I called them periodically and they always encouraged to wait patiently that I will hear from them in due course. Six weeks later I call and upon insisting that something might not be alright with the delay in switching they kept sending back and forth from Ebico to Scottish energy customer service to find out they have no idea about my application. And I am still nowhere close to finding out the status of my application. This is clearly not a very pleasant experience and I am not very happy with the assistance I have given and the way my application has been processed. I think they are overwhelmed with the number of applications and they cannot properly deal with all this. Jason |

I have been with ebico for the past 4 wks and i can honestly say the amount i put on each week to both gas and electric meters remain unchanged..
Still have to spend £25.00 a week on them and i am dreading how much this will rise to when the heating has to go on ![]() |

Yeap. My unlucky experience with EBICO cost me a lot. I was recently informed that I will be supplied by EBICO sometimes in November (you can count how many months have lapsed since my application in JULY 0 almost 5 months since applying. The problem is that now in the light of EBICO putting prices up I wish I did not have to switch. When I called customer service was told is too late to cancell since the application has now gone through. I have to wait another month from the date EBICO will supply me with energy for the right to move on.I wish to noone the trouble I am in now. I was counting on switching before prices were put up so that I could top up with credit for a whole year (on prepayment meter) and be unaffected by price rises. I guess that's not going to happen now... |

An update for my EBICO switch over. It finally happened that as the 15th of October I officially became an EBICO customer at least so on paper cause I still my account is not active because they send me a faulty prepayment card which is void. Oh my God what a company!
